There's something about the end of the year that gets me excited. It's kind of like when a new school year begins, except for adults.  I love a fresh start. It feeds my love of planning and plotting. The stores and e-retailers put out their new line of planners and calendars, and I gear up to dive in and beg them to take my money. I'm that girl. I have a planner for every aspect of my super busy life. I have a large author planner for all my business needs. Like every other author in the universe, we're always looking for ways to connect with readers. A few weeks ago, I had what I would consider to be a brilliant idea. (Fingers crossed.) I collaborate with my fellow authors all the time. I firmly believe if we work together, we have a much better reach. More importantly, I think readers would love to "see" us more. Yes, there are newsletters. I LOVE my newsletter and my wonderful subscribers. That being said, I'm not entirely comfortable reaching out to them daily via an email. People are busy. I'm busy. It's the truth. Long before I put pen to paper, I devoured books like some devour chocolate chip cookies. The fact is, that love of reading never went away. I read every night before I go to sleep. It's my gift to myself after a long day of WRITING ALL THE WORDS and semi-forcing myself to stop dillydallying on social media. (I'm talking to you, FB.)
